HOW POLISH WORK ON PAINT DEFECT.

The most common paint defects found on car. Swirls mark, Medium scratches, stain, watermarks, oxidation, holograms, and deep scratches.

Most of this defects can be remove by using special tools and products.

This is how the polish works in theory. The jagged line shown is how the polish pad grind from top to removed the defected area of the paintwork.

Next is the after polish result, it still leaving some scratches that very fine. in here, the stain, oxidation, light scratches, acid rains and watermark are gone. The Swirls mark, hologram, medium and deep scratches are still left on paintwork.

To remove the swirl marks and hologram, use a second steps of polishing. Use a lighter combination to remove them.

During a light polish, as you can see a thin line running across swirls mark and hologram. This is what we get after a light polishing, a very flat finish. But, there's still have some defects left on paintwork. the medium and deep scratches.

To remove the medium scratches, need to work on that area a bit longer. However, for the deeper scratches, it can't do nothing because it has running through the clear coat.
